Architectural Review Commission
One vacancy will occur at the end of May, 2021. The Architectural Review Commission reviews site plans, architectural structures and signage primarily related to new development in Pleasant Hill. Candidates must have demonstrated talent in aesthetics and architectural design through training, education or occupation. Pleasant Hill residency is not required.

Contra Costa Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee
One vacancy with an unfilled term through April, 2023, has occurred. This regional advisory committee provides citizen perspectives, participation and involvement in policy development and implementation regarding CCTA’s $3 billion voter-approved Transportation Expenditure Plan and Growth Management Program. Residents with an interest in transportation issues of regional, countywide, and local concern are invited to apply. Measure K Oversight Committee
Pleasant Hill voters approved Measure K at the November 8, 2016 election, allowing for a half-cent sales tax rate increase that began on April 1, 2017. The Measure requires that an oversight committee review the expenditure of the funds collected from the Transactions and Use Tax on approved projects including the new library and infrastructure improvements. The seven-member committee meets semi-annually, and the meetings are currently held via teleconference. Most of the positions will be four-year terms ending May, 2025.

- Chamber of Commerce Member
- Resident who is a financial professional
- Residents active in the community

Applications and Appointment Process
The City of Pleasant Hill accepts applications for City Commissions on a continuous basis. When vacancies occur, the Interview and Nominating Committee (Committee), a sub-committee of the City Council, reviews applications and interviews qualified candidates. The Committee forwards a recommendation to City Council for final appointments, unless the position is a County or regional committee or board, in which case a recommendation is forwarded from City Council to the appropriate governing body for final appointment.
